Choreography teams choose the top four best idol dancers on ‘Show Champion’

The June 26th episode of MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘ featured a segment surveying choreography teams at the broadcast hall on who they thought were the best idol dancers.

According to the survey results found by producers of the show, choreography teams chose Taeyang,Jay Park, Kahi, and HyunA as the four top idol dancers in the industry. The choreographers reasoned that the four had strong foundations and exceptional expressional skills.

Other ranking idols included Yunho, Lee Joon, Minzy, and Min in no particular order.

Jiyoon and Gayoon snap a selca before heading off to England

Jiyoon and Gayoon snapped a selca in the airport before heading off to their trip in England.

On June 21st, Jiyoon attached the above photo on Twitter and wrote, “The Yoons before going off to England“.

In the revealed photo, Jiyoon wears a coral blazer and shows off her flawless skin while Gayoon stand in the back cutely sipping on her coffee. This photo is particularly gaining attention for the members beautiful no-makeup face.

Followers who saw the photo commented, “They look pretty even without makeup“, “Why are they going to England?“, and “They look so innocent when they are not performing“.

The ladies of 4minute will be performing at the MBC Cultural Festival in London on June 23rd along with EXO-K and Norazo.

G.NA and 4minute take a train ride to?

4minute and fellow labelmate G.NA went on a trip by train.

On the morning of June 20th, G.NA tweeted during the train ride, “Today, I rode the KTX train and went on a trip with our 4minute baby girls! You must be curious about where we’re going, right?!! Keke, it’s been a while since we’ve all been together like this~ ^^.”

Along with the cheerful update, G.NA attached a picture (above) of herself goofing around with the 4minute members.

She wasn’t the only one enthusiastic about the trip. 4minute’s maknae Sohyun posted a photo with a sleepy HyunA in the background along with the message, “Where do you think we’re going, riding on the KTX train~~~??? [Look, it's] the sno~~ring Hyuna unni~~^^!!!!! Ke.”

Jihyun, took a simple, cute selca of herself at the train station and posted, “This feeling of riding the KTX train~~. The unni who is ’2Hot’ these days and our 4-4-4-4-4minute [members] are going around in today’s nice weather. [Our] destination [is a] secret!! Sh.”

Fans commented, “4minute and G.NA [act] like they’re sisters,” and “Where are you going? Let’s go together.”

4minute releases “India version” of “Volume Up”?

Will 4minute begin their advancement into India under the direction of comedian Yoo Sae Yoon?

On the episode of ‘Yoo Sae Yoon’s Art Video‘ broadcast on June 19th, the comedian made the decision to produce a music video to try for 4minute’s advancement into India for his third project on the show.

Choosing Bollywood as his theme for the music video, Yoo Sae Yoon also promised an affectionate scene between the 4minute members and a hot male actor.

However, contrary to the girls’ expectations of the steamy scene with a hot male actor, Yoo Sae Yoon instructed the girls to follow “Yogi Daniel”s various Yoga positions. He also encouraged them to eat the nearby grass to improve flexibility.

To his request, Jiyoon hilariously complained, “Director, this is your first time shooting a music video isn’t it? How can you tell a girl group to do such things?”

After much hardwork, the India version of the music video of the girls’ hit song “Volume Up” was completed, and the final video had viewers laughing at the comedian’s hilarious attempt.

Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Sohyun celebrate their 3rd year anniversary

 Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Sohyun have greeted their fans with a set of selcas in celebration of their 3rd year anniversary! 4minute officially debuted with “Hot Issue” on Mnet’s M! Countdown back on June 18, 2009.

On June 18th, maknae Sohyun uploaded the visual treat shown above along with the attached message, “3 years! Kekekekekeke [it's] Jiyoon, Sohyun, [and] Gayoon.” In addition to verbally mentioning the number of years since 4minute’s debut, the three members also stuck out three fingers in the pictures, showcasing an uncommon yet cute pose.

Earlier on the same day, Sohyun also posted a set of selcas of herself with a longer message for her fans, saying, “Today is 4minute’s 3 year anniversary. Hee. The time has flown by so quickly. 3rd year anniversary picture parade, keke. Thank you [4NiAs] for taking care of us and for loving us for these three years. In the future, let’s also go forward together. Ke. Thank you.”

Fans who have seen the pictures and tweets commented, “A big congratulations to 4minute on their 3rd year anniversary,” “The 4minute who has made it to the 3-year mark, go, go (keep going) until you have reached 10 years!,” and “I truly congratulate you, 4minute, for your 3rd year anniversary.”

Sohyun prank calls f(x)’s Sulli on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Sohyun‘s surprise prank call which almost led to f(x)‘s Sulli shedding tears.

On a recent broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, a few of the guests members were asked to test their friendship with other celebrities through a prank call.

When it was Sohyun’s turn, the singer decided to test none other than her close friend, Sulli. As soon as she answered the phone, Sohyun began her hidden prank by asking, “I’m having a hard time. Are you able to meet right now?”

Sulli replied saying that she was currently at her house in Ilsan but in order to have Sulli come out, Sohyun casually continued, “Do you at least have time to meet later in the morning? I want to get something off my chest, but I don’t know who to talk to.”

But to everyone’s surprise, Sulli suddenly responded by saying that she’d call her back and tried hanging up. Taken aback, Sohyun immediately tried to keep her on the line which caused Sulli arouse with suspicion. “Are you with somebody right now? You’re playing a prank, aren’t you?”

This prompted MC Shindong to break in and reveal the current situation. Surprised by the prank call, Sulli said, “I suddenly feel like tears are coming,” which led Sohyun to express her apologetic feelings.

When asked why she tried to hang up, Sulli explained, “I’m with my family so I was going to ask them whether she could come over. My friends frequently visit my house and it seemed like Sohyun was having a difficult time alone. Therefore I was going to suggest her to come over so we could cheer her up.”

Others that had participated in this segment were 4minute’s HyunA, who prank called her “Trouble Maker” duet partner, B2ST‘s Jang Hyunseung, Jihyun, who called Super Junior‘s Donghae, andShoo prank called Eugene.

First generation idols advise HyunA to not go public with her future relationship

First-generation idol stars advised HyunA to keep her romantic relationships a private matter.

HyunA along with first generation idols S.E.S‘ Shoo, Baby VOX‘s Kan Mi Yeon, and solo artist So Yimade guest appearances on the June 7th broadcast of ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

Expressing her envy of Super Junior‘s Shindong who had previously gone public with his relationship, HyunA remarked, “I want to date publicly, too.”

But upon hearing this, So Yi sternly advised against it stating, “No, don’t. Reveal [your relationship] on the day of your wedding.”

HyunA then explained the reason behind her desire to date openly. “You know how I have a very strong image? If I dated in secret, I think it will make it worse,” she said, unshaken by her seniors’ warnings.

However, So Yi continued to oppose. “No, you should try not to get caught.” Shoo agreed with So Yi and added, “You’ll regret it later on.”

Speaking of herself and fellow guest members Shoo and Kan Mi Yeon, So Yi continued, “We’ve never gone public with our relationships. Even when there were rumors of us dating, we’d deny it or reply with ‘no comment’.”

This prompted Shindong to ask, “Then are you saying that the rumors back then were all true?” to which she replied, “There were some that were true and others that were completely false.”

Gayoon praised for her acting on ‘Light and Shadow’

Gayoon is receiving attention for her charms in MBC‘s drama ‘Light and Shadow‘.

In ‘Light and Shadow’, Gayoon perfectly pulled off the role of Hyungyung, leader of the famous group “Purple Sisters”, with her strong vocals and dance skills. She attracted the viewers’ attention for her infinite amount of charms.

In the drama, Purple Sisters is a three-member girl group that achieves stardom with their stage outfits as well as their music and performance, which are ahead of their time.

Different from her usual image as the chic and powerful performer on music shows, Gayoon is showing an innocent and cute image supported by her detailed and stable acting.

One of the drama’s staff shared, “Showing off her vocals and dance skills like a true singer, Gayoon’s focus, which is unlike a rookie actress, makes her detailed acting stand out. She always enlivens the set with her lively charms. She’s an actress with a bright future.”

Super Junior’s Donghae shows his loyalty to Jihyun on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Super Junior‘s Donghae has been dubbed as a “warm city man” for his caring act towards Jihyun.

The latest recording of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘ featured the members of 4minute putting on a hidden camera show against their close celebrity friends.

MC Shindong suggested that Jihyun pretend to act like she needs to borrow money for her hidden camera act, which she readily agreed to.

Jihyun called up Donghae and carefully asked, “Can you lend me money?” Donghae replied back, “How much do you need? If it’s an emergency, you don’t have to tell me. It doesn’t matter if you don’t pay me back either.”

All of the women on set immediately fell in love with his loyal, dependable charm upon hearing his response.

Shindong jealously asked back, “How come when I ask to borrow money, you always ask me about every little detail?”

Sohyun‘s hidden camera was with f(x)‘s Sulli, a ’94-line friend, to whom she asked, “I’m going through a hard time. Can you come see me?” In response, Sulli came to console her friend and pat her warmly on the back.
