Hi it’s Kkwonsso hehe.

Today is already the last day of 2013~Waw hehe. How time flies.ㅠㅜ I’m currently at the Munhwa Broadcasting building for the dry rehearsals of the Gayo Daejun hehe. And since it’s almost time to celebrate the new year I left a post hehe. It’s been a while since I last came here, right???? hehehe hehe kekeke. I’m..really sorry about that keke. /bows kekeke.

How was 2013 for 4nias? There must have been things you liked and things you were regretful about, wasn’t there?? For me, that’s how 2013 was. That was when I turned 20.ㅜ The bloom of my 20s. kekeke. It seems that it went by so fast keke keke. By going over the positive and negative sides of my twentieth year, it seems that there was more good than bad hehe. First was the great love we received through “What’s Your Name?” in the first half of the year hehe. Every day was filled with joy then hehe. And, hehe, during the second half of the year I started my very first individual activities through the filming of movie “Hwanggu” hehe. So this year was filled with many blessings hehe. Was that the reason why my posts on the fancafe started to become more mature? kekekekekeke If it wasn’t because of this then kekekekekekekekekekekeke;;;;;;;;;kekekekeke.

It feels like I spent my time from 2009 to 2013 with the gayo daejuns~ Waw~~~ keke. It has been a while keke Hasn’t it? keke. Later when time would have passed ke, when I wouldn’t be doing the gayo daejuns anymore but would stay at home, “how would it feel like?” is a thought that crossed my mind keke. It would be too unfamiliar a future hehehe kekeke.

Since it’s really early in the morning right now, it seems that I’m very quiet kekekekekekekeke. If it isn’t the reason why then ;;;;;;;;;kekekekekekekekeke.

Really, thank you so much for continually loving 4minute for the past five years~~ It felt like a small yet long time at the same time~ While conducting activities, I’ve learned and felt a lot so there seems to be many things to be thankful of hehe. From now on I’ll be even more thankful so hehe ♪Don’t leave me~~♪ kekekeke;;;;;; Sorry keke I really am~

If there is one thing that is unique to our group only is the reverse effect hehe. Shouldn’t you like the back as well?? A group to look forward to tomorrow rather than today keke. The kind of a group that will make you even more curious in the future rather than now hehe. Isn’t that so? kekekeke So, if you’re curious about us keke you will have to stick with us for a long long time?? kekekekekeke haha kekekekekekeke.

Anyway!! In the few time there is left of 2013, please have a happy time for the rest of this year with your family and friends~~~If you do so please make sure yo watch 4minute’s performance as well~~..kekekekekekeke Got it? keke haha keke.

Ryu Hyunjin & Cube finally reveal their 'secret project'

Towards the end of Novemberm, Ryu Hyunjin, baseball player of Dodgers in LA, has revealed that he and Cube artists are in the middle of a ‘secret project’.

Today, the baseball player and Cube have finally revealed what’s the project is all about.
According to a representative, “Ryu HyunJin is going to release two songs in collaboration with artists under Cube Entertainment. The songs are about ‘hope’ and is going to be released for a good cause. Funds will be collected from the release of these songs and will be donated to children and other charity.”

In their statement to Newsen, they revealed that the songs are already finished but release date is still undecided. The said project is organized by HJ99 Foundation and Cube Entertainment. The upcoming songs of hope are results of a thoughtful collaboration between Ryu HyunJin and Cube artists Trouble Maker Hyunseung and Hyuna, 4minute, BEAST, BTOB, G.NA, and Shin JiHoon.

Trouble Maker involved in controversy for similarities between 'Now' MV and Rihanna's 'We Found Love' MV

Unsurprisingly, Trouble Maker has become the hot topic of discussion lately with their comeback.  However, it is not just their sexy image that is being discussed, but also their MV's similarity to Rihanna's MV for "We Found Love."  It appears that in the on-line community, the MV is under great scrutiny and in the midst of a plagiarism controversy.

Online screen captures from both MVs were uploaded side-by-side for comparison. Such captures include these moments: standing by their car and hugging in a field, drifting cars, throwing something at a wall, drinking alcohol and throwing up, having fireworks near their car, and having love scenes both in the car and their house. 

Based on these pictures alone, there do appear to be a few similarities between the MVs--well, enough so that at least some netizens are convinced of plagiarism.  However, it is hard to say at the time and the agency has yet to address the situation.

On the internet, netizens wrote, "Hallyu~  saying Hallyu when you steal a famous American singer's MV; aren't you even embarrassed?" and "It appears the producer has no sense of pride since he stole someone else's idea."

Sohyun lands the silver medal at an archery competition

She participated in the 'The Archery Club Competition with Medalists 2013' on the 26th and landed the silver medal in the competition! The competition was held at the Incheon Asiad Archery Range, ranking 2nd with 322 points out of a total of 360.

Through Twitter, she said, "Archery is hard, but it's fun. I've fallen for the charms of archery again~" and uploaded a photo of her aiming for the bullseye.

She said, "I started archery after the 'Idol Star Athletics Championship'. But I didn't want to end it there, so I went to the competition through my coach's recommendation. I'm proud for getting a good result, and I feel good."

Trouble Maker signals a sexy return with video + image teaser

Hyuna and Hyunseung are heating things up as they release a video teaser for their return as the duo Trouble Maker!

If there was any confusion about the concept, the new teaser makes it clear that the duo will continue to sport their sexy image and even turn it up a notch with a stunning preview picture that was revealed through it.

A text that reads "There Is No Tomorrow" also fills the screen, hinting that it might be the name of the title track.

The duo were said to be making a comeback through 'M! Countdown' on the 24th earlier, so we'll have to wait and see if that is still the case!

[Update] - Cube has just released an official teaser pic to go along with the video clip, which you can now see above.

The agency has now also confirmed a release date, which will be the 28th and the title track will indeed be called "There Is No Tomorrow".

Sohyun makes her screen debut as main lead for ‘Hwanggu’

Sohyun will be the lead actress for movie ‘Hwanggu’ (directed by Park YongJip) that will make society lift a new insight towards multicultural families.

According to Cube Entertainment on the 22nd, Sohyun plays the role of Misoo in ‘Hwanggu’. She’s a university student who will be challenging national-level Taekwondo competition and is a person that always give her warmest support to multicultural boyfriend Hangu. Misoo plays an active role in volunteering activities and will fight towards any injustice. Misoo’s youthful and high-spirited character matches well with Sohyun’s cute and bright image.

‘Hwanggu’ is her first ever personal activity, and it also signifies her debut on screen. Being cast with a bubbly character, anticipation is flying high as to her new upgraded look.

Sohyun also delivered her thoughts, “It is my first conducting activities alone, but to be able to try out such a good screen production, my heart flutters a lot. It’s a very meaningful production and I will do my best to meet everyone’s warmest anticipation.”

‘Hwanggu’ is a production that depicts the story of a young teenager of Filipino-Korean descent who is attempting a national-level Taekwondo competition. And through the process, the movie shows his pain as well as his growth as a multicultural family member, giving warmth to those who watches it.

‘Hwanggu’ will have its first shoot on October 28th and is expected to end in November. The movie will be meeting everyone in the first half year of 2014.

Gayoon couples with Kim WonJoong in Shin JiHoon’s MV teaser

Gayoon and Kim WonJoong are main leads in Shin JiHoon’s teaser video.

A 40-seconds teaser video, revealed through Cube Entertainment’s official Youtube channel today, has garnered much attention. In the said teaser, with a lyrical ballad melody as music background, Gayoon and model Kim WonJoong come together as lovers in which Gayoon expressed her mixed and complicated feelings upon a breakup. 

Scenes where seasons and places interchange and its pictorial-like cuts further attract attention.

The said video is a teaser for SBS ‘KPOP Star Season 2′ Shin JiHoon’s upcoming debut song. Despite the short 40-seconds, Shin JiHoon’s vocals stood out in the video.

Cube Entertainment previously announced Shin JiHoon’s debut as well as hinting that the title track is written and composed by BEAST member Yong JunHyung.

Getting to Know Acting-Doll: Kwon Sohyun

On the opportunity to act Before joining 4minute, I started out as a child actress, and as I promoted as a singer, I was following acting lessons. I’ve come to realize the charms there is to acting while I was receiving acting training. It was when I came to experience the angry emotions through my acting lessons that my feelings were amplified.

Since I was born, I have been the type of person who’d never really gotten angry, so at first it was hard to scream out loud. For example, the first time I tried screaming “What do you want me to do?!” the tears wouldn’t stop flowing. It was then that I realized that, when you’re acting, when you’re becoming someone else, being able to express emotions you aren’t usually able to is what we call acting.

On your current project Starting next month, I will be filming a movie. I will play the counterpart of the girlfriend of the lead actor, the son of a multi-ethnic family whom she protects through her love. I’m thrilled as it is my first individual activities.

Your most memorable moment In the movie « Radio Star » when Ms Kim from the blue coffee shop practices her lines. In the script, the cheerful and bright Ms Kim who was talking about her mother suddenly burts into tears. When I’d think about that particular scene while practicing my lines I’d cry a lot.

Singer vs. Actress  As a singer depending on the concepts you are able to show a new side of yourself bit by bit, it is also the same in the acting field. For a short while, you lead the life of someone else. As of now I don’t know myself that well [when it comes to acting.] As I experience different roles and become various persons, I will be able to find myself.

The movie or drama that left the strongest impression on you It’s the drama « Ladies of the Palace. »  I used to not miss an episode. I was an elementary student at the time and I would watch the broadcast and the reruns even though it used to air rather late at the time. There were also dramas “The Age of Wild Men” and “Magic Kid Masuri.”

The thing you’re the most confident about Being able to quickly memorize my lines.

A part you’d like to try acting out  The part of Jang Hye Sung played by actress Lee Bo Young in « I Hear Your Voice,» the role of Woo Ah Mi played by actress Jo Yoon Hee in « Scandal: A Shocking and Wonderful Incident» and the part of Lee Soo Yeon played by actress Yoon Eun Hye in « I Miss You.»

Your role model Shin Eun Kyung sunbaenim. She had a strong and rough image in the « My Wife is a Gangster » movies while displaying a mourning mother who lost her child in « Scandal: A Shocking and Wonderful Incident.» I found her acting there to be really awesome.

Your dream acting counterpart Jo Jae Hyun and Park Sang Min sunbaenims. Was it because I was so immersed in the drama « Scandal ? » Acting with them as their daughter would be great too.

Hyuna to ‘Gangnam Style’ her way to Australia

PSY’s Gangnam Style co-star, Hyuna will be joining  4MINUTE for an intimate concert in Australia.

Hyuna will be returning to Sydney, Australia with 4MINUTE to hold their first Australian show since the group’s last visit in 2011. Rookie girl group New KO and DJ FILI will be opening 4MINUTE’s 2013 PARTY ROCK CONCERT. 

Tickets for one-off show in Sydney went on sale last Monday and ‘only a few tickets are available’.

4minute, “We won’t be able to forget these 100 dream-like days”

4minute was hot for the past 100 days. After a year of hiatus, the 4minute ladies hit a home run with ‘What’s Your Name?’, and followed by the popularity received from ‘Is It Poppin?’. They dominated the charts almost instantly. ‘What’s Your Name?’ maintained its number 1 spot for almost six weeks, and the momentum continues for its sequel ‘Is It Poppin’ as it gains good responses as well. The entertainment industry was literally a ’4minute World’.

▲ Making a comeback after a year of hiatus and 4minute have dominated the entertainment industry.

SoHyun: We promoted these 3 months happily. 4minute reunited again, but we didn’t know we would be able to receive so much love.

▲ ‘What’s Your Name?’ was promoted for seven weeks, this is the first time 4minute promoted this long ever since your debut song ‘Hot Issue’.

JiHyun: It seems like we have promoted twice as much than the usual time period. Even when there are new releases, it seems like the song charts even higher. Although this promotion is a lengthy one,  we actually hoped that we could promote more. This promotion is a period that we will never ever forget.

▲ If you were to choose the proudest part for this promotions?

SoHyun: Not only our ’4minute’ name, we are happy that people starts to know each members’ name. Although this was just a part of the promotions, banners on streets and roads seems to have produced some good effects in raising awareness for our names.

▲ There were many concerns in the early part (of the promotions). Hyuna admitted to a hospital a week after the release of your new album.

JiYoon: We worried a lot. We worried about Hyuna’s health. And since it was the time where we were gaining momentum, so  there were worries for our performance as well.

Gayoon: Along with our worries, we went on stage with just the four of us, but we were lucky as we managed to find a balance for our dance formation. Since Hyuna is always the center of our dance formation, it was easier for us to fill up the empty spaces.

▲ Hyuna, what were your feels then?

Hyuna: I worried a lot for not being able to go on stage at such an important time. But I was happy that we won first and the members visited me with that trophy. Although I’m saying this only now, nurses at the hospital warmly supported us, and many even voted for us (laughs).

▲’What’s Your Name?’ was a song that portrays a bold female, while ‘Is It Poppin’ shows a weak female who looks only at one man.

JiYoon: We showed our weakest image since debut. We wanted to show a sweet lively side so as to suit the summer season, but we were always strong-looking all this while, so we couldn’t really adapt to it.

JiHyun: Jiyoon looked nice with bright outfits, but  it was quite awkward for her. Her (awkward) look was so funny, it was interesting.

▲ 4minute’s performances are always filled with charisma or comes with a sexy concept. Were there any parts where you feel hard to perform?

Hyuna: 4minute are always hardworking in showing what a sexy concept should look like. Actually, we had many different concepts too. We never feel that the five of us show one same image. We feel that everyone of us are quite interesting themselves. So, there wasn’t any parts that is particularly hard to perform.

▲ It is 4minute’s 5 year since debut. Usually, people would say that a group would face difficulty around this time, but 4minute seems to be doing well.

Hyuna: It’s indeed like that. Rather than crisis, it seems like a valuable opportunity is heading our way. Just like how Cube Entertainment is growing, we truly feel that we are doing well. Although we have grown older, we hope to stay as 4minute forever.

▲ What was 4minute’s most memorable part?

Hyuna: On our 100th day since debut, we won our first #1 with ‘MUZIK’. That memory is still vivid till now. We were in our waiting room celebrating our 100th days anniversary. Like a kid, we were writing numbers on our arms. Without realizing that we were first, we went on stage. We probably couldn’t express our winning speech then (laughs).

Gayoon: I remembered our first overseas schedule, where we headed for the Philippines. It’s amazing how we have fans in a different country. We spent a short amount of time with local fans there. When we were about to leave, I remembered crying very badly.

Jiyoon: At first, we couldn’t speak much. Whenever we do so, we would often run out of topics, or (many members) speaking with their mics at the same time… (Laughs). During press conference, we were like a mugwort field. Now that we don’t make mistakes anymore, sometimes we are surprise about it too.

▲ Five years into the world of idols, what do you think will remain in your lives?

Gayoon: We don’t think of ourselves as idols. We prefer walking around without makeups and live comfortably. Rather than ‘Five Years Idols’, we just want to try to live our own lives. We made our debut during good times, and we were able to go even further. This is all thanks to every music fans who love K-POP.

▲ 4minute’s future will be…?

Hyuna: We will continue to anticipate the future. Going down these five years, and into my 22 years old, all these are really amazing to me. Also, our maknae SoHyunie has turned 20 years old, and it’s amazing how we could go to clubs together. Now that we have become more resourceful, we are filled with confidence in everything we are about to do. We would want to be 4minute that stretches out to Japan, America, Europe and many more.

Gayoon and Sohyun showed off mature charms and alluring looks in the pictorial for the September issue of fashion magazine ‘InStyle’.

The fashion magazine revealed a sneak peek of their pictorial showing Gayoon and Sohyun taking on a dark, dramatic look with bold makeup, red lips and alluring poses. The maknae especially drew attention with her mature and sexy transformation, ditching her youthful image.

On July 31, Sohyun shared an adorable throwback picture of herself. She tweeted the above picture and wrote, "A profile picture from back in the day that my mom sent me kekekekeke. Haha keke. Was I about 11 years old..... kekekekekeke. 9 years ago kekekekekekeke."

The past picture shows 4th grade Sohyun posing for her profile picture before debuting as a part of the elementary group Orange. Baby Sohyun flaunted big eyes and cute features in the picture.

When I firmly decided to start Cube Entertainment, I called Hyuna everyday to persuade her parents to allow her to return to the stage. Firm on her decision to never come back she even turned off her phone, acting like she was breaking off ties forever. However I continued to try and persuade them. No, clinging is a more accurate word. ‘Mother, Father, I’m sure you know how talented she is. I would like to help her return to the stage after she recovers. That is her path as it is mine (to bring her back)’ After a while I was given the chance to persuade Hyuna face to face. ‘Hyuna, everyone has a rebellious period in life. Sickness can be cured in time. You already got a lot better. It’s not a sickness that can kill you so if you don’t work on achieving your dreams, don’t you think you will regret it later on? Think about the times you endured as a trainee. There is probably nothing you can’t do. That is why people always say to go back to the beginning. Think about what you wanted to do when you were dancing in the JYP practice rooms. I will help you find and achieve an even bigger dream. I hope for you to become an even stronger Hyuna.’ Maybe because I’ve been around trainees like Hyuna for so long, I could understand her pain. Sohyun received her sex-education from Cube Entertainment's CEO?

Most girls receive their sex-ed in health class, or from their parents, but Sohyun got it from someone who isn't exactly her father.

She recently recorded for KBS 2TV's 'Full House'. During the recording, the topic brought up to the guest panel was, "If my daughter says she's going on a trip with her boyfriend, should I just let her go and pretend I don't know anything?"

Sohyun's opinion? No way! When she was asked to further elaborate, she said, "My label CEO told me, if boys hold your hand, they want to kiss you. After they kiss you, they want to hold you. They're all the same. My label CEO teaches me a lot about the adult world and sex education, just like he's my father. But he didn't tell me if I should meet a lot of guys or if I should stay away."

Jihyun reveals guys approach her at the club even after her debut

4minute guest starred on July 13th broadcast of KBS Cool FM's 'Super Junior's Kiss the Radio,' and voted Jihyun the most popular member with guys.

DJ Ryeowook asked who the most popular member was at a poppin' club and Hyuna answered that it was Jihyun. She revealed, "We went to a club together and some guys approached Jihyun and hooked their arms around her arm. I stayed by her side to make sure the guys couldn't approach her."

Then, Jihyun shared, "There are a lot of people who approach me without realizing I'm a member of 4minute. But I don't know if this is a good thing." Ryewook assured her by saying, "It's a good thing. You're going to have the best marriage in the future."

4minute the new trend for Clubs, Why?

Girl group 4minute’s April and June releases of ‘What’s Your Name’ and ‘Is It Poppin?’ respectively are driving a whole new trend in clubs, hence, 4minute have become the ‘Queens of Clubs’.

The two title tracks have recently turned into representative songs for club culture as club DJs would definitely play these songs.

‘What’s Your Name? What’s your phone number?’ lyrics that can be found in ‘What’s Your Name’ asks the opposite sex for their name and telephone number which we usually see in clubs, therefore the song creates more fun factor to the clubbing atmosphere.

Whenever this song plays, clubbers would strike gestures to people beside them, asking their names and telephone numbers as they have fun listening to ‘What’s Your Name’.

Surprisingly, 4minute’s recent release ‘Is It Poppin’ further brought them the ”Queens of Clubs’ title. ‘Is It Poppin’ has a part that goes, ‘(You/I) like people who looks pretty and dances well and have fun’, which is also the reason why club DJs commonly use this song to raise the overall atmosphere in clubs.

With the growth of such trend, 4minute have received invitation to perform in a few famous clubs across the nation. The hot responses for their performance in these clubs are currently being considered by 4minute.

Meanwhile, 4minute will soon be performing a ;19+ ‘Poolside Party’ at a club, along with DJ DOC.

Happy Together 3' What Is Your Name Special, idols with low popularity introduced

The new faces of idols will appear on “Happy Together 3".

Recently, six idol members appeared on the set of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3". Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and Henry, Sistar’s Soyu and Dasom, 4Minute’s Hyuna and Gayoon participated in the ‘What is your name special’.

The ‘what is your name special’ took the format of a popular member of an idol group introducing a not-so-popular member of the group. The “Happy Together 3" PD Sohn Jiwon asked for much anticipation, saying “Kyuhyun, Dasom and Hyuna will show the hidden cards within their teams and show us their newfound charms. The sides that we didn't know that Henry, Soyu and Gayoon had will explode."

The Happy Together 3 Idol Special will air July 4th.

SISTAR’s Soyou and Gayoon Could Have Debuted in the Same Group

Sharing that they trained together, SISTAR’s Soyou and Gayoon revealed that they could have debuted in the same group.

The two stars appeared as guests on July 4’s broadcast of KBS’ Happy Together as idols who were overshadowed in their respective groups. 

During the show, Soyou and Gayoon explained that they were trainees under the same company. 

“I was supposed to debut in 4minute but later went into SISTAR,” said Soyou. “I was initially a 4minute member.”

Gayoon chirped in, saying, “We always thought we would debut together. We used to dream of being the next Davichi and always practiced singing Davichi songs.”

Super Junior's Kyuhyun reveals 4minute is scary but he likes Hyuna

Super Junior's Kyuhyun has revealed that he likes 4minute Hyuna.

On July 4th episode of Happy Together 3, Super Junior's Kyuhyun and Hyuna were part of the idol guests. In this broadcast, Kyuhyun expressed his likeness towards Hyuna.

When he was asked to impersonate Sung ShiKyung, KyuHyun hesitated. However, when Hyuna said ‘It would be good’, Kyuhyun quickly did the impersonation.

In addition to that, he revealed that 4minute is a scary girl group. He shared that he usually doesn't use formalities when talking to girl groups except 4minute which he finds scary. When MCs teased him, "Is it because you like Hyuna?”. Kyuhyun admitted, "I think that could be the reason. I think it’s 90% true," and caused laughter in the set.

Youngest member Sohyun falls in love with guitar!

The girls who sent the entire nation into a frenzy in April with their song ‘What’s Your Name?’ came back. 4minute is ready to heat up this summer with their new song ‘Is It Poppin’?’. 4minute members prepared a present for fans who waited for their comeback even if it was quite a short period of time. Starcast is going to show you self-taken pictures of each member, bringing you to their daily lives with a different face from the fierce one on stage. Shall we take a look?

SECRET's Jieun is awkward with Hyuna

SECRET's Jieun revealed that she and Hyuna have a bit of an awkward relationship on the latest 'Weekly Idol'. 

On the June 26th show, Jieun stated, "We've never spoken," choosing Hyuna as the girl group member she's awkward with. Hyuna then mentioned, "We see each other often, but we've never exchanged words."

The two held hands and took the time to get to know one another a little more. The 4minute member commented, "I really like Jieun unni's voice," while Jieun said, "HyunAais really charming on stage."

The members of SECRET, 4minute, and Rainbow, who all appeared for the 100th episode special, also got to get a little closer.

4minute's "Is it Poppin'?" deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS

4minute's upcoming track "Is It Poppin?" has been deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS.

Apparently, the network had a problem with the English word "ass" in the song's lyrics. "Is It Poppin?", by Brave Brothers, is a hip hop dance track about a girl who's upset with her boyfriend who loves to party.

4minute will be removing "ass" from the lyrics in order to re-submit the song for review.

Lee Joon of MBLAQ refutes all rumors of dating Hyuna

Lee Joon of MBLAQ refuted all rumors of him dating HyunA on the June 25 episode of SBS' 'Incarnation'.

After the pair filmed HyunA's music video for "Bubble Pop" together, rumors had spread that the pair were dating. 

To accusations that the pair were being especially touchy while together in an airplane, Lee Joon explained, "It's true that we sat next to each other on the plane coming back after we filmed the MV. But it would be weirder to sit apart after we got close filming the MV. But I think the stewardess mistook what happened after watching us take a selca together."

He added, "It's true that we're close, but we're definitely not dating. She's way too young."
