Sohyun and 2YOON at Weekly Idol

Gayoon and Jiyoon Reveal Their Complexes

2YOON recently appeared on KBS 2TV’s “Generation Empathy Saturday,” where they revealed which parts of their body they didn’t like.
Jiyoon expressed, “I find my legs not very pretty. To cover that flaw, I wear skinny jeans or shorts.
Gayoon then added, “My feet are small and my ankles slender. To hide my ankles, I always make sure to wear long stockings or socks.”
On the same episode, Gayoon shared her love for snakes

2YOON, “Our seniors SNSD complimented us, we were touched and thankful…”

2YOON received praises from SNSD
The duo made their sub-unit debut on January 17 with the release of their first mini album “Harvest Moon” and kicked out promotional activities with the country pop styled title track “24/7.”
2YOON met with Star News on January 30 while recording their performance on Show Champion. They told us about the support and praises they received from their senior, popular group So Nyeo Shi Dae.
2YOON, “So Nyeo Shi Dae sunbaenims personally praising us felt really good.”
“The song and choreography aren’t obvious and ordinary, you also grasped the visual concept and the outfits very well.”  were the words of support they received from them.
2YOON, “So Nyeo Shi Dae didn’t only mention the title track but also talked about  track number 4 on the album “Ssae Ssae Ssae*” saying they loved it. Their words really touched me. Having So Nyeo Shi Dae sunbaenims personally support us while we are promoting was even more meaningful and it gave us even more strength!”
As So Nyeo Shi Dae said, 2YOON met fans with a brand-new and different image. Showing off a powerful and intense image with 4Minute, this time around 2YOON  came back with a bright and more approachable image through “24/7.” Trying out a music style that no local idol group attempted before, 2YOON effortlessly grasped the concept and pulled off country pop.
2YOON, “As 4Minute’s vocal line, we had many opportunities to sing together at concerts and on radio shows, so releasing music together was perfect. That’s why we asked our agency to make it happen. They listened to what we had in mind and said “let’s make something cool” and after that, we decided on our outfits, and were actively involved in the jacket pictures’ concept and the album’s producing.”
Heo Gayoon who has a great interest in fashion personally picked the concept, directed the album jacket’s shooting and stage design for their performances, while Jeon Jiyoon co-produced and co-wrote “Ssae Ssae Ssae.”
For this round of promotions, rather than saying “we’re unlike others,”  2YOON wanted to come closer to fans through their work on the album and interact more with them through their live performances.
2YOON, “We both, and including 4Minute’s members,  prefer being active and working more than resting.”
Lastly, they added, “Because we’ve been wanting to promote for a while, rather than focusing on making our songs and concept known, we wanted to let people know more about 2YOON.”

Gayoon, “I prefer animals without fur, such as snakes"

Gayoon shared her love for snakes on a recent broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Generation Empathy Saturday,” Gayoon talked about a pictorial she posed for with a snake.
She stated, “I’m scared of animals with fur, I prefer them without any hair.  Because I’m interested in fashion on an everyday basis, I directly asked the photography director if we could use a snake for the photo shoot.”
She further revealed, “At the end of the photo shooting, I looked at the pictures and it looked really great so I was satisfied.”

B2ST’s Yang Yoseob Ranks The Looks of the 4Minute Members

B2ST’s Yang Yoseob has unveiled his personal ranking of the looks of the 4Minute members.

On the upcoming episode of MBC Everyone’s Weekly Idol, the members of the 4Minute unit group, 2Yoon, will drop by as guests.

During the episode, the 2Yoon members engaged in a game to try and guess how Yang Yoseob ranked the 4minute members by looks during a previous appearance.

Gayoon made her guess saying, “I think first will be Hyuna and I’m last. Yoseob oppa is most awkward with Hyuna and most friendly with me.”

Jiyoon agreed saying, “Yo Seop oppa wouldn’t want to offend someone he’sless friendly with so I think that’s how he would have ranked t too.”

MCs Jung Hyung Don and Defconn couldn’t hid their surprise saying, “They really did guess the first and last person right. 4Minute really knows Yoseob’s personality.”

The rest of the ranking and a special phone call made to Hyuna will be made during the episode on January 30.

ZE:A Park Hyungsik, “There are feelings for Nam JiHyun. Dating…”

ZE:A’s member Park Hyungsik who was seen coupling with 4minute’s Nam JiHyun on tvN ‘The Romantic and Idol’ expressed, “As we were shooting for the program, there were some feelings developed”, while giving out a heartwarming smile.
Regarding questions about pairing up with Nam JiHyun as a couple in ‘Romantic Idol’, Hyungsik smiled while responded, “As we were shooting, there were feelings felt. I felt interested in knowing more about the other party. Nam JiHyun was the best. She was kind too.”
When asked if they’re really dating, he busted a laugh, saying “No”, and continued, “We are in that type of relationship where we give support and advice to each other. Lately, noona contacted me and said that she watches KBS drama ‘Sirius’ in which I’m acting in.”
He then followed, “‘The Romantic’ was filmed very comfortably. It’s like meeting friends. In fact, there isn’t much opportunities for idol groups to work with each other. It felt good being together with peers of the same industry. Till now, eight of us are still kept in touch. We gathered as well.”
Regarding thoughts about being in a relationship, Hyungsik said, “There are still lots of things to do, and so I feel that I should do those first”, “but I’m jealous too, when there are news about other celebrity couples.”
Towards his ideal type, he answered, “Someone who gave me good feelings on first meeting, and a person who matches me well”

Kim Giri and Jung Hyung Don to Make Guest Appearance in 2YOON’s 24/7

The concept for girl group 4minute’s first unit “2YOON” has been revealed.
2YOON, comprised of Gayoon and Jiyoon, will release their mini album “Harvest Moon” this month on the 17th, and will comeback with “24/7″, a track that will tackle country-pop, a genre that has never been attempted in K-pop.
The title track of the mini album, “24/7″, is about pulling ourselves out of the monotonous routines that we go through 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order to seek a free, exciting life. It is a song that has an exciting intro and fun atmosphere. It combines the liveliness of country-pop with Gayoon’s high notes and Jiyoon’s powerful singing into a wonderful harmony.
“Harvest Moon”, the mini album, has the meaning of ” bearing the fruits of labor as a result of months of hard work.” In addition, gagman Jung Hyungdon will make a cameo in the music video.
2YOON’s first mini album will be released online on the 17th of this month.

2Yoon to Challenge Country Pop for Debut

4Minute’s new sub-unit, comprised of members Jiyoon and Gayoon joined forces with hitmakers  Shinsadong Tiger, composer Kim Doo Hoon and songwriter Lee Sang Ho for their title track.
Rather than sticking to popular music, Gayoon and Jiyoon took on a new challenge for their debut under a new name, 2Yoon.
Country pop, a genre which hasn’t been tried out before and which will bring a fresh change to a Korean music scene dominated by addictive and generic tunes.
This trio of producers has been behind a number of hit tracks by 4Minute, such as “Hot Issue,” “For Muzik,”  “Muzik, “Mirror Mirror,” and more recently “Volume Up” and “Love Tension.”
Yesterday, Cube Entertainment’s CEO stated that the upcoming 4Minute sub-unit would be called “2Yoon.”
A few weeks ago, pictures showing Gayoon and Jiyoon in the midst of a filming session surrounded by a farm set decor surfaced on Naver.  Jiyoon then teased fans a bit more by tweeting a picture from that same set.
Meanwhile, 2Yoon are scheduled to debut on the second week of January.
What are your thoughts on the unit’s concept so far?
